The original author of this book was David, who used his writing as an outlet for thoughts and issues he was grappling with after his divorce. David wrote GateKeepers while battling severe depression and alcoholism. Both of which he eventually worked through with the help of woman named A. De Guerre. The true-to-life undertones and struggles came out clearly in this fictional tale. It was thought originally that GateKeepers would not be released to the public. However, after the GateKeepers book was mentioned in the nonfiction, true life story, and paranormal romance book Finding Aimée, public outcry for the book reached a level that required publication. David requested that the story be rewritten in third person by R. D. Goullette for the express purposes of publishing. R. D. Goullette was the typist and living author of the book Finding Aimée, chronicling the real paranormal investigation for finding who Aimée really was. At that time, R. D. Goullette was writing another nonfiction book entitled 7th Sense Maria Martinez Psychic, chronicling the life of the lead psychic investigator used for Finding Aimée. While the story line of GateKeepers was fiction written by David, it became instantly clear that portions of the story were inspired by information derived from David’s interaction with Aimée. GateKeepers sat dormant for over five years before the story line was recited to David by the psychic Maria Martinez, who could not have known any of the plot lines, especially the plot line between David and Aimée. The GateKeepers story line was one of the initial tools used in providing David with verifiable proof that Aimée was so much more than a real spirit haunting him. Aimée had an incredible story to tell, and R. D. Goullette was honored to be the typist and lead coordinator chronicling that true story. R. D. Goullette was chosen as the author due to his background in religion, occult teachings, Wicca, and paranormal studies.
About the Author
David’s passion for flying quickly ended when he volunteered to work for the FAA special operations division. After returning from a mission, David came home to find his pregnant fiancée, Shelby, missing. With the help of a vixen named Megan and her Wiccan friends, the GateKeepers, David might be able to track down who was responsible for the death of Shelby and his unborn child. Deciding to take matters into his own hands, David knew he would never be capable of surviving his search without the guidance of a young French ghost named Aimée, who was connected to him in ways he never understood. David soon realized that he was in way too deep as devil worshippers and their vampire allies joined forces to destroy David, Megan, and the coven.
The sinister goal of the devil worshippers was to raise a terrible beast from hell that would easily be capable of destroying the coven and anyone else that challenged them. The race was on as the GateKeepers tried to obtain the artifact needed by the devil worshippers to raise the beast and stop the sacrifice of young girls.
As the mystery unfolded, David learned that his shallow ways needed to be put aside, and he must take on a new role that was no longer revenge motivated, or all would be lost. David found himself fighting for life and love as they attempted to save the lives of innocent girls, stop the beast, and kill those that had been responsible for Shelby’s death.
With artwork by Geo Brawn IV and guidance from publication coordinator Eris Poland and special consultants Anne De Guerre and Steve Lund, GateKeepers is a young love story packed with knife fights, gun fights, sword fights, fist fights, as well as strong female leads, religious undertones, and questions of morality and judgment.
